Quiltmaker: Ruthie Peterburg Petach-Tikva, Israel Artist's Statement: "I have been quilting since 1982, when a friend taught me the basics in our first quilt class. I have never looked back. I decided on this technique as a 'take along project', whenever I had a few free moments I would add another square or two or more depending on how much time I had. That was at the beginning of the project, it later took over my whole life and everything else was put on hold. Exchanging these squares via the Internet was a whole new experience for me not to mention getting to know new friends from all over the world. What a small world we have become thanks to the Internet. "
