Quiltmaker: Victoria Woosley
Artist's Statement: "Depending on one's perspective, this pattern can be swords or plows. Among the Y2K swap charms are squares that commemorate victims of man's inhumanity and celebrate those who stand for peace and justice. This quilt was made with hope that those who see it will choose to build plows.
There are 86 regular signature squares in this quilt plus 80 dedications to
individuals and groups affected by human violence. The dedications are primarily from quilters I hav met online. Several are
my own, and the rest from members of my local quilt guild."
The background is alternating rows of reds, whites, tans, blues, and a row of siggies set in a diamond pattern."
